You-Turn Project, Inc.: Your Road to Self-Sufficiency

Our Students

Our clients include males and females starting at the age of 16 and must be capable of living independently.

Target Populations

  • Teenagers ages 16-17
  • Adults ages 18-or better
  • Discharged Veterans
  • Pregnant and/ or parenting individuals

    Educational Status of Clients

  • All Education Levels (degree/ diploma)
  • To insure a match with our curriculum reading level must be 3rd grade or above.

We developed our modules based on State Content Standards for California Public Schools. Our curriculum is based on three areas of education: problem solving, reading comprehension and critical thinking. All lesson plans are grade level appropriate NOT age level appropriate. Our unique hands-on training reflects our philosophy that student involvement leads to comprehension and learning. Graduation credit is available for high school students as our curriculum is approved by several school districts.

We offer our comprehensive, 8-module program to clients within a 35-mile radius of our main office. Ask about our Independent Living Retreats. Our 3-day intensive retreat is not limited to a 35-mile radius.

Classes are set-up after the intake interview. All training is held on the campus or in the facility of our client. No transportation for the students will be needed. Please contact LaShawn Chester at 310.644.9500 ext. 715 for further information.
